Our new Tutorial Challenge Blog

After much thought we have decided to split the challenges into three seperate blogs as it's going to get rather confusing trying to run the weekly and monthly challenges simuntaneously on one blog.

So, tomorrow we launch our second monthly challenge on the new blog which will be based around the challenges that our Featured Stampers do for us. Last month our Featured Stamper was our fellow DT member Kim, who did the most amazing distressing tutorial for us.

We hope you will pop over to the new blog tomorrow and take part in the new challenge. There's a fab prize up for grabs too!

There are a few changes afoot - we have set up another blog where we will be posting our tutorials and also our two special monthly challenges. We have a tutorial and a new monthly challenge due next week so watch this space!!

Before we get on to this weeks challenge, the winner for last week's prize donated by Jacobi Drachten is Kat

Congratulations Kat, can you please email us so we can arrange to send your prize off to you.

This week is also time to announce our card of the month, please check back later on this evening to see if you're the lucky winner!

The Cutting Cafe'

And the fabulous prize this week is two sets of your choice from the amazing selection at The Cutting Cafe.

The Cutting Cafe' offers affordable Printable Stamps and Cutting Files. The Cutting Files which are basically just like templates are files that you Print out using your home printer, Cut, Assemble and then Embellish.....Very Easy.....The Cutting Files also come in the format where you can cut out the files using some of the latest Machine Cutters like the Pazzles Inspiration, Bosskut Gazelle and Cricut (with Scal software). The Printable Stamps are just that, images that are sent to you through email that you print out using your home printer. After the images are printed out, you can just color them in like you would any other stamped imaged...One great thing about the Printable Stamps and Cutting Files is that you no longer have to worry about finding space to store all of your stamps....You can keep them all in a folder in your computer and use over and over again.

Here's this weeks sketch, you can rotate the sketch and resize the elements, as long as you follow the original sketch so your entry qualifies for the prize draw. The winner will be chosen by Random Generator next week so to be in the running all you need to do is ensure you have at least one Magnolia image on your card and link your card (not your blog) in Mr Linky and have your card posted by 10 pm UK time on the 2nd July.

First monthly challenge sponsored by Simon Says Stamp

609storeheader

As promised, we're back with our first Simon Says Stamp monthly challenge! We are so excited - this has been in the planning for weeks and weeks and today's the day we get to show our creations to you all! Heidi from Simon Says Stamp has very generously agreed to sponsor this monthly challenge and the prize is .........

a whopping .......

$50 voucher to spend on what you want in their store!

With over 100,000 items in stock, Simon is proud to offer the best selection of Rubber Stamps, Scrapbooking, Artist Trading Cards, Altered Art, and Paper Crafting Supplies in the world!

Now, because this is a special challenge with an extra special prize the theme is a bit more challenging but we know you can all do it! This month the challenge is to alter a container - ANY container - for example a recycled paper bag, a empty box of chocolates, a custom made box, a canvas bag, a tin, a plastic tub - even a photo album (which our Marcea has done, such a clever idea). So you don't have to go out and buy something specifically to alter, we all have bits and bobs that can be altered for the challenge. The only specification is that you must use a Magnolia stamp on the project.

You have two weeks to enter, the challenge will close at 10pm on mONDAY 29th June and the winner will be picked by Random Generator.

This challenge is separate from the normal weekly challenge which will continue to run each week as usual.

Here's some inspiration from the Design Team - they really pushed the boat out with these fantastic creations! Pop across to their blogs to get all the details of what they have altered and how.
